Ka Yan Cheng

I am a Ph.D. candidate in economics at Emory University, and I am on the 2026–2027 academic job market. I work in econometric theory, where machine learning meets semiparametric estimation.

I grew up in Hong Kong and studied economics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong before moving to Atlanta. Outside research, I love watching movies, enjoy having a good pint of Guinness, and have recently started reading books with no equations in them.
